About Me

Mai Huynh Photography: where life and art collide..

Mai Huynh Photography is a boutique studio primarily focusing on a limited number of weddings per year. As a photo journalistic wedding photographer, I am passionate about capturing the honest moments as they unfold. There are so many times when I catch the way a couple looks at each other filled with love. When they think no one is around. But I can be sneaky like that. I feel very lucky to be a part of such a beautiful and momentous day, to be a part of such joy and love. It's a tough job, but I am up for the challenge!

Nam & Gwen Engagement Session

I have to say that it was such a blast shooting the engagement session with Gwen and Nam.  They are one of the sweetest couples that I've ever met.  Even though both say that they do not like to take photos, both were complete naturals at the e-session. On top of it, the Korean traditional outfits were bursting with amazing and vibrant colors.   I had so much fun and truly adore the couple who are clearly very much in love.  I may have teared up just a little.  I know I know.. I'm such a sap.

Thank you Gwen and Nam (especially Gwen with her persistence!)  :)

Boudoir Session With Velvet Circus

These ladies were a blast to work with. The group is called Velvet Circus and these ladies definitely have some talents. The combination of the dark night club rich red furnishings all around really gave it a sexy and mysterious vibe. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I enjoyed shooting it.

Jay Leno's Garage Photoshoot for the Lamborghini Club America Part I

Wow, has it been a hectic few weeks! I've finally got around to posting some of these really great shots from the Jay Leno's Garage's interview with Andrew Romanowski, who is the president of The Lamborghini Club America. This interview was on the Lamborghini Reventon. And oh my, is it a beautiful and very PRICEY piece of machinery. There are only 20 in the world and 8 in the United States. I have to say that I had such a fun time shooting this interview for my client and also for the club's magazine, which is La Vita Magazine. It was such a great experience since Andrew, Jay Leno, and all the crew at Jay Leno's garage are so awesome to work with. Here are some photos, but I will be posting more photos soon from the second photo shoot at Jay Leno's Garage, which will include an interview on three other amazing Lamborghini's.

Long & Corinna Engagement

I hope everyone had a great Christmas and exciting new year! It's been a minute, but I finally have some time to give my blog some love. I have some fun photo sessions lined up and will post soon. This is the place where I get to show you other fun projects and photo shoots that I do outside of weddings.

Alright, here is Long and Corinna's e-session at the OC Fair. It was quite gloomy, but they were troopers. They are such an adorable couple. I look forward to their intimate wedding in July!

The Frog Prince and the Princess

So after a little chaos, I have returned to Socal where I am originally from. After many adventures all over the country which includes 3 years in Tempe/Scottsdale Arizona, to Maine, to New York, I am finally back to my beloved Socal where there are plenty of beaches, beautiful weather, and sun! I've shot plenty of weddings too while traveling around the country. Maine is a beautiful place to get married. I recently shot a wedding for a wonderful couple (Kevin & Nicky) on top of Cadillac Mountain in Maine. I was beautiful... to say the least (photos coming soon).

In the mean time, here's an interesting wedding I did with a wonderful photographer, Jason Millstein, in Scottsdale, AZ. You'll see why. Keep posted since I will finally have a chance to post more weddings and photos of my adventures across the states.

XOXO

Mai
